Dual Business Degrees – Curriculum

Credit Requirements

The dual graduate business degree program requires 42 credits of core courses in the MBA curriculum plus graduate business courses in the specialized masters.  The regular Full- and Part-time MBA Curriculum course requirements are 57 credits; by pursuing the dual degree program, students will be conferred two degrees at the completion of the program and benefit from the reduced credit requirements for the combined degrees.

* MSFRM students who do not require student visas follow a 33-credit curriculum instead of the 36.  In addition, students pursuing the MSFRM concentration in Quantitative Methods in Risk Management are required to take an additional 3 courses (9 credits).

Course Sequence

In order to get a solid foundation in business, students are encouraged to pursue the MBA Core Courses (Full-time or Part-time MBA) before continuing to the graduate business courses in the specialized masters.  However, it is possible to start the MS program before the MBA program; please see your advisor.
