Students currently enrolled in UConn’s Full-time MBA, Part-time MBA, MSBAPM, MSFRM, or MSHRM programs can apply for the dual graduate business degree program. All other dual graduate business degree applicants are considered new applicants.
When to apply
Currently enrolled students are encouraged to apply sooner than later as they must be accepted into the second program before:

Students cannot apply for a dual degree after having graduated.
Students entering Full-time MBA or MSFRM must apply and be accepted for the cohort which only starts in the fall semester.
Students Requiring Student Visas
Students requiring student visas issued by the program:
- cannot pursue a dual graduate business degree in a part-time format
- cannot complete the first degree in December and wait until the next Fall to start with the program’s next cohort.

Starting your application
Applicants must fill out a new online application for the Dual Graduate Business Program.
Filling out your application
In the Enrollment section, indicate the:
- program to which you are applying
- dual degree program to which you are applying
- MBA/MS program in which you are currently enrolled
- term which you anticipate start (for questions, contact the program to which you are applying)
All fields (including essays and recommendations), unless otherwise indicated by the program, must be submitted even if they were already submitted in your application to your current program.
Submitting and completing your application
If you indicated that you are a currently a student in an applicable graduate business degree program, your application fee will be automatically waived.
You will not need to submit official test scores and official transcripts again, unless your information has changed since your application to your current program.
Decisions & Enrollment
Applications are reviewed independently by the program to which you are applying.A decision on your admission to the dual degree program will be issued by the second program to which you are applying, not the program in which you are currently enrolled.
Applicants to programs requiring deposits (Full-time MBA, MSBAPM, or MSFRM) may request a deposit waiver via the Dual Degree Deposit Waiver Form.
